मेरो ईलामसँगको साइनो ।

ईलाम जिल्लासंग मेरो वाल्यकाल देखीको भावनात्मक सम्बन्ध छ । म बीसौं पटक ईलाम गएको/आएको छु, तर पनि हरेक पटक नयाँ काम, नयाँ ठाउँ, नयाँ परिवेश र नयाँ मित्रताहरु बन्छन् । यसपाली माइजोगमाईका विभिन्न वडाहरुमा विपतबाट प्रभावित परिवारहरुसँग दूःख सुखका कुरा भए । केहि राहत स्वरुप खाध र गैरखाध सामाग्रीहरु वितरण गरिए । यसै क्रममा फिक्कल, कन्यामका चिया वगान र प्रशोधन केन्द्र समेत गइयो जुन मैले २०४६/४७ सालमा पनि कलेजको टुरमा हेरेको थिएँ । त्यस्तै नयाँबजार, सोयाङ, प्याङ, र नामसालङि लगायतका ठाउँहरु पनि गएँ । सदरमुकाम इलाममा २०४२ सालमा कक्षा ८ पढेको आदर्शमा माविको भ्रमण गरेँ । आफुपढेको कक्षा कोठाको भग्नावशेषका अवलोककन गरेँ । परिक्षा चलेको हुनाले धेरै हल्लाखल्ला गरिएन । जिल्ला प्रशासन कार्यालय, जिल्ला समन्वय समिती लगायतमा बैठकहरु भए । आफन्तजन भेटिए, कोसेली सहित काठमाण्डौ सकुशल पुगेँ ।

I have had an emotional bond with Ilam district since my childhood. I have visited Ilam for the twentieth time, yet every visit brings new work, new places, new surroundings, and new friendships. This time, I interacted with families affected by disasters in various wards of Maijogmai, sharing in their joys and sorrows. As a small relief effort, some food and non-food items were distributed. During the trip, I also visited the tea gardens and processing centers of Fikkal and Kanyam, which I had previously seen during a college tour in the year 2046/47 B.S. Likewise, I visited places such as New Bazaar, Soyang, Pyang, and Namsaling. I also visited Adarsha MaVi in Ilam headquarters, where I had studied in grade 8 in the year 2042 B.S. I observed the remains of the classroom where I once studied. Since exams were ongoing, we did not make much noise. Meetings were held at the District Administration Office, the District Coordination Committee, and other places. I alo met my relatives, and with gifts in hand, I returned safely to Kathmandu.
